The final countdown: I leave for Morocco tomorrow and plan to blog about my trip from the road. If the Internet gods cooperate, and my site allows me to upload new images, the updates should be free-flowing … and I should be smooth-sailing!
After a quick 24-hour trek, I’ll be in Marrakech sometime Friday morning, local time, of course. Wish me well!
Christmas cards? Hum bug!
I used to send Christmas cards every year, and I always put a fair amount of thought into them. I usually designed the cards myself, with some sort of funny image from the year I was getting ready to kiss good-bye.
Making the cards gave me some enjoyment, so I didn’t mind so much the dreaded addressing and stamping of all of those suckers I had to mail out to a plethora of family and friends. These days, I say bah on the whole Christmas card thing … although I do I like getting the cards! And I’m leaning toward saying bah to the whole Christmas cookie and Christmas tree thing, too! Just messy and time-consuming, really!
Selfish? Yeah, I know. But hey? I don’t see much point in bothering with the cards, at lease, anymore. Besides, I don’t have much time to deal with them either.
Getting ready for Christmas!
I’ve been trying to get into the Chrismas spirit, which sometimes is difficult for me. Last year, the Holidays were a bit of a blur. This year, I’m making a conscious effort to get into the mood!
Last night, I got to see “A Christmas Carol” at Actors Theatre in Louisville. It was excellent … and just what the ole Christmas spirit needed. Now, I think I’m ready to head out to get some gifts for the Angel Tree!

I don’t have a great deal to report today. It’s a relatively lazy day in the Bluegrass.
Personally, this week will be a busy one … for work, life and YPAL.
