New technologies and some tried-and-true service

So today I’m writing about work — well I’m writing about my perspective on the stuff I write about for work. I’ve been infused, invigorated and inspired with some much-needed creative bursts — likely triggered by my company’s expected launch of a new mobile-banking portal. I’ve actually enjoyed thinking about what this site could be and how I can work to fulfill some personal goals or missions through the site’s story angles and coverage. In my last post, I mentioned Uganda and underserved women there whom a friend was trying to help. (And when I write ‘underserved,’ I mean underserved …

Back to work … with updates and minor annoyances!

So … I’ve returned from my 8-day trip to San Diego, where I delivered two presentations about financial services U.S. credit unions should be taking advantage of. In addition to living without my Crackberry and ATM card for nearly two weeks, my laptop seems to have been infected by one of the famed/infamous North Korean viruses — at least that’s the assumption I’m operating under, since neither I, nor anyone on my company’s IT team, has ever seen anything like it. Yeah, figures! This malware has latched on to every root in my system, despite Symantec’s feeble attempts to quarantine the little trojans. Bruce Schneier, a security blogger I pick up from time to time, has posted a few …

Admittedly a bit lame, but funny all the same …

My dad sent this to me … and it brought a smile! I don’t get write this kind of stuff in the real world!
